The ANCC PMHNP certification exam consists of five content domains, each making up a set percentage of the total 175 questions.
Below are the modules (domains) and their corresponding percentages, based on the latest data:
High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants.
The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components.
Important early use of an AED.
Effective ventilations using a barrier device.
Importance of teams in multi-rescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multi-rescuer CPR.
Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants.
Recertification takes 2 hours.
Initial certification takes 4 hour.

Adult Basic life support and AED use.
Management of acute coronary syndromes (ACS) and stroke.
Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions such as symptomatic bradycardia and tachycardia.
Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest.
Management of post cardiac arrest.

The PALS Provider is a two-day course designed for the health care provider who either:
Has never attended a PALS Provider course;
Is not comfortable with the PALS content and skills;
And/or has an expired PALS card.
The course runs for approximately 15 to 16 hours.
